Easy Lunch Recipes For Families On The Go

Preparing lunch for the whole family is not very easy, especially if you want to please every one's palate. Add to the that the hectic accidents that happen in the morning as everyone gets ready for school and work, and you know that the only way to start the day right is to make sure that you stick to easy recipes that would provide everyone a satisfying but healthy lunch. Anything complex will probably mean late kids or asking them to just eat cafeteria food. Here are some ideas for you, so that you can prepare your family's lunch in as little time as possible without sacrificing taste and nutrition.

Anything You Want Tortilla Wrap

1 whole wheat flour tortilla

4 slices pre-grilled or seared turkey breasts (You can substitute anything you want, from skinless chicken breast to ham and roast beef slices.)

1 slice mozzarella cheese

4 thin slices cucumber

4 slices avocado

Layer ingredients on the tortilla. Roll it up and slice the tortilla in half. Wrap each piece with cling wrap to ensure nothing spills. You can just double the amount of ingredients to make more. You can also add any veggies like tomatoes, olives, lettuce, and more. Tortilla wraps are perhaps one of the most flexible and easy recipes for lunches, so don't be afraid to get creative each time you make them.

DYI Banana, PB and J Buns

1 whole wheat hot dog bun

1 whole ripe banana

1 tbsp peanut butter

1 tbsp jam (any flavor your kids like)

1/2 cup assorted chopped nuts and raisins (place in sealed plastic container)

Spread the peanut butter and jam inside the hot dog buns. Place inside your child's lunchbox along with the unpeeled banana and container full of nuts and raisins.
